On November 6, Canon Canada welcomed seven Grade 9 students to its Brampton Headquarters for Take Our Kids to Work Day. Launched by the Learning Partnership in 1994, Take Our Kids to Work Day is an annual program in which Grade 9 students spend the day in the workplace of a parent, relative, friend or volunteer host, exploring career options in a practical way and seeing firsthand what being part of the working world is like.

The students toured the headquarters building, including the state-of-the-art showroom. They met with members of the human resources and corporate communications teams and learned what employers look for in candidates and how to maintain a professional job-seeking profile online. The morning wrapped up with a professional portrait photo shoot in the showroom photo studio. The students then spent the afternoon job shadowing their parents.
