Giving back is a core part of Canon Canada. Now more than ever, the company is committed to taking action to help the most vulnerable members of our communities.
Once again, the company’s Quebec employees came together and donated gifts to the Batshaw Youth and Family Centres. In total, the team helped support 53 children and youth (ages 0-17) who are under youth protection services and living either with a foster family or at a care centre.
The annual tradition, started 37 years ago by Batshaw employee Frank Campanile, makes it possible for children and youth to receive a meaningful gift for their holiday season.
“As many children across the country celebrate the holiday season, we hope that our contribution can help lift the spirits of families in our communities,” says Mr. Nobu Kitajima, President & CEO of Canon Canada. “I would like to express my entire gratitude to the Quebec team for their contributions and efforts to support Batshaw. This shows once again that by working together, we can bring the gift of happiness to children and youth in need.”
Gifts were distributed in December at the “Batshaw's Annual Secret Santa Toy Drive,” which supports approximately 1,400 children in the Montreal Region.
