Built on the established ProStream technology platform, the new ProStream 3000 series delivers consistent offset print quality at industrial speed on a wide selection of substrates including heavyweight paper, enabling ultra-fast digital production of a broader range of commercial print jobs.
Item Code: PS3000
Discover the Art of Going Beyond.
Capable of printing at a maximum speed of 525 ft/min, the ProStream 3000 series produces excellent print quality on a wide range of substrates and weights, including standard offset coated, uncoated, and inkjet-optimized papers from 28 GSM to 300 GSM. Its unique asymmetric drying architecture optimizes drying efficiency, allowing 9 pt. heavyweight paper to be printed at high speed. Produce outstanding applications—from direct mail and books to calendars, posters, and postcards—with high resolution, exceptional image sharpness, and consistent colour output.
Built for high-quality inkjet production on a wide range of media, the ProStream delivers high-speed capability to help expand your revenue opportunities. At a speed of up to 525 ft/min, producing up to 13,560 B2 4/4 sheets/hr, equivalent to a monthly volume of up to 8.2 million B2 sheets or 83 million letter impressions.
The ProStream series uses native 1,200 dpi piezo drop-on-demand printheads with multilevel drop size modulation for sharp details and quality, with proprietary polymer pigment inks and Canon Smart ColorGrip conditioning fluid for reliable and consistent colour and added layflat control. Providing automated print quality assurance, Canon’s Inline Quality Control (IQC), a high-performance camera system, allows operators to reduce time spent on quality control so they can focus on getting more work out the door.
Closing the gap between toner and offset, the ProStream 3000 series offers ultra-fast digital production with consistent offset print quality and a colour gamut that conforms to industry standards. Help improve profitability by migrating shorter run, high-value printing from analogue to digital inkjet. Or support increased productivity by moving work from B2 digital presses to the ProStream 3000 series. Users can now reap the full end-to-end productivity benefits of inkjet production across most commercial print applications.
The ProStream series features a unique drying and media handling technology. Through gentle, non-contact drying,
the air flotation drying system evenly dries all jobs, protecting
the print image to help ensure the best result and preserving
the gloss and paper surface better than other drying methods,
even on the most sensitive substrates. The system also uses an
intelligent sensor control circuit to continuously adjust the dryer
settings optimally during the print run for consistency.
With more than 1,700 continuous feed inkjet printer installs
globally, the ProStream series benefits from Canon’s outstanding
experience and knowledge of high-volume commercial printing.
Designed for the most demanding production environments, the
ProStream strikes a unique balance between high productivity,
superior print quality, flexibility, and media versatility, and is
backed by an expert team of integration consultants, colour
specialists, and service engineers.
