Automate visual inspection while mitigating the possibility of human error using Canon network cameras.
With Canon’s expertise in digital imaging technologies, the camera has auto functions like auto focus (AF), auto exposure (AE) and auto white balance (AWB) to correct exposure and brightness levels in dark areas. The pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) capabilities enable coverage of a wide area and only require one-time setting/calibration.
Inspection work can be time consuming and increase the possibility of human error. The PTZ camera is able to detect the image automatically and read multiple images in an orderly manner with output value. Productivity levels will be increased and human error minimized.
The final step of data entry can be automated with robotic process automation (RPA) for an end-to-end process. The “robot” will pick the data from the CSV file and send it the end system automatically. This will reduce manual data entry and minimize data error. Work process can be sped up for other job needs.
Built-in with 18 types of high-precision matching units, Vision Edition is able to match shape, blob/circle, 1D/2D code reader, analog meter readout, number recognition and many more. This allows users to preset the requirement/standards while Vision Edition performs the matching automatically.
Embedded with a flowchart template, the camera allows users to easily set up their required workflow even without programming knowledge. Workflow can also be reconfigured easily if needed.
Canon’s Vision-Based Navigation System is an advanced navigation system for automatic guided vehicles (AGVs) and autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) that combines high-precision software with position attitude measurement and mapping functions with stereo cameras. We provide support for program development and testing using stereo cameras.
