Canon Canada Announces Mr. Hiroto Kato as New President and CEO

 

BRAMPTON, Ontario (April 1, 2026) - Canon Canada Inc., a leader in digital imaging solutions, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Hiroto Kato to the position of President and CEO.

 

Mr. Kato began his career at Canon Inc. in 1997. Over the past 29 years, he has worked in both Japan and the United States, where he rose through the ranks to progressively more senior roles. Most recently, he was promoted to Vice President of the Imaging Technologies & Communications Group at Canon USA in 2023.

Mr. Hiroto Kato succeeds Mr. Mikio (Mick) Takagi, who has assumed the role of President & COO of Canon (China) Co., Ltd.
