Canon Canada signs strategic partnership with I.R.I.S. for scanner and software distribution
BRAMPTON, Ontario (September 30, 2025) – I.R.I.S., a subsidiary of the Canon Group since 2013, is proud to announce the signing of a distribution agreement with Canon Canada Inc. a leader in digital imaging solutions. This strategic partnership will bring IRIS scanners and Readiris software to the Canadian market.
The agreement includes the sale of the following IRIS products, which will soon be available on the Canon Canada online shop:
- IRISPen Reader 8
- Designed for students with dyslexia and other learning disabilities, it supports independent learning by making printed materials easier to understand thanks to an advanced assistive tool that scans and instantly converts printed text into digital, accessible formats.

- A versatile, portable scanning pen that brings the power of instant text conversion, translation, and reading assistance to wherever you need it.
- IRIScan Visualizer 7 Dyslexic
- Equipped with Readiris Dyslexic reading aid software, which supports Text to speech, repeat words, and the ability to convert PDFs to editable documents.

- Features a 13-megapixel camera up to 21 MB capable of scanning an A3 colour page in less than 1 second.
- IRIScan Desk 7 Business
- Sports a high-resolution scanner, powered by a 24MP sensor camera for precise, detailed reproduction of books, documents, images and 3D objects.
- IRIScan Anywhere 6 Wifi Duplex
- A portable, compact scanner with a feature rich OCR software that allows you to convert scanned text from documents into editable Word, PDF, and Excel formats from anywhere.
