Canon Canada was recognized with the Friends of the Credit Award of Merit from Credit Valley Conservation for its 2016 Canon Branch Out Program. Canon was the only corporation recognized among the winners for the Award of Merit.

 

The award recognizes corporate leadership and employee engagement in projects that improve natural areas and increase environmental awareness in the Credit Valley watershed.

 

The 2016 Canon Branch Out Program included four separate activities, all within Credit Valley watershed in various locations within the Peel Region: stream-side litter cleanup, invasive species removal, tree and shrub planting, and pollinator garden enhancements, which included a bee box building session.

 

Over the last three years, Canon employees across Canada have:

  • Planted more than 30,000 trees
  • Removed 20,000 square feet of invasive species
  • Rescued more than 2,600 fish
  • Protected our water sources from pollution
  • Made a difference in 45 Canadian communities
