World Wildlife Conservation Day is an opportunity to not only celebrate the many beautiful and varied forms of wild fauna and flora but also act when it come to issues that are threatening the planet’s wildlife biodiversity.

To help support the restoration of wildlife and ecosystems and promote their sustainable use by humanity, Canon Canada is proud to support Earth Rangers and National Wildlife Centre, organizations that share our commitment to environmental education and responsibility.

Through the Wildlife Adoptions Program, Earth Rangers members are introduced to incredible conservationists across Canada and can contribute directly to a variety of conservation projects. Below are just a few of the projects Earth Rangers is supporting:

  • Caribou, Polar Bear, Wood Frog (Wildlife Conservation Society Canada): Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) Canada is working to advance policy and science actions that will help conserve and protect peatland ecosystems in northern Ontario, recognizing these important areas as a natural climate solution.

  • Monarch Butterfly (Becky Magnus, Nature Saskatchewan): Becky Mangus, Species at Risk Manager for Nature Saskatchewan, is working to conserve endangered grassland habitat through the Stewards of Saskatchewan program, which helps land managers understand how to protect and monitor critical monarch habitat.
