Claire Martin knows weather.
A qualified meteorologist with more than 20 years experience ranging from official weather observing to operational forecasting to television broadcasting. Claire is well known for being a highly adaptable, cheerful individual who is committed to providing the highest level of weather forecasting, dissemination and overall science presentation.
A recognised expert in communicating climate change and variability, Claire is known to many Canadians for her appearances on the CBC's flagship news broadcast, The National, since 2005.
Prior to taking on her role at the CBC, Claire worked at Global Edmonton from 1996 to 2005 doing weather on the 5:30, 6:00 and 11:00 p.m. broadcasts.
Before joining Global Edmonton, Claire was a Meteorological technician/forecaster with Environment Canada.
