Equipment requirements:

Cinema membership requires at least 1 x EOS Cinema C series camera or EOS 1DC or CN-E series lens. Platinum membership requires at least 2 x 5D Mark II or better cameras and 3 x L series lenses from the eligible equipment list above. Gold membership requires 2 x 70D or better cameras and 2 x L series lenses from the eligible equipment list. Video requirements for Cinema, Platinum and Gold plans are also contained in the list. Members will be required at time of application to list the equipment, along with serial numbers, that they possess and intend to be covered by CPS service policies. Members are responsible for maintaining their record of equipment, adding new gear and removing retired or sold items when necessary. Products not on the members list at the time of service request will not qualify for CPS turnaround targets or rates.

Welcome kit:

Upon payment of the applicable enrollment fees, a welcome letter and the CPS member card will be mailed to accepted members. Fees will be billed to the members account upon acceptance and will be payable within 30 days. CPS members will also be invited to select their CPS Rewards from a variety of CPS gifts as a token of our appreciation for their patronage.

Service turnaround:

Warranty repairs: Canon will repair and ship from our factory service the eligible product (see list above) that is repairable, in Canon's reasonable discretion, within 4 business days (Cinema/Platinum plan), or 6 business days (Gold Plan) of receipt of the equipment at our service facility in Mississauga.

Out of warranty repairs: The turnaround period will commence once approval of applicable charges has been received by Canon CPS staff. Please see the section covering "flat rate repair charges" below.

Service loaner:

Service loaners are available upon request to Cinema and Platinum members, even prior to shipping in eligible product for service. Service loaners will only be offered to Gold members if the stated turnaround target cannot be met.

Service discount:

Cinema* and Platinum members receive a 30% discount on service repairs (parts and labour).

Gold members receive a 20% discount (parts and labour).

* 20 Cinema product repairs per membership term.

Service shipping charges:

Cinema and Platinum members enjoy complimentary overnight incoming and outgoing shipping on all eligible products for service. Use of our CPS shipping waybill is required for identification purposes and equipment arriving by any other method will be at the member's expense. Equipment arriving without the CPS waybill may not be eligible for rapid service turnaround.

Gold members receive subsidized incoming overnight shipping charges ($10) when eligible product shipments are identified using our CPS shipping waybill. These charges will be added to the repair service charge. Return shipping is free for warranty repairs and a flat $10 fee will be charged for return shipping of out of warranty service.

Important! Any modifications made to the Canon CPS waybill or account are not covered by Canon. Additional charges as a result of changes to; Ship Mode, Package Type, Service or Declared Value are the sole responsibility of the CPS Member and will be billed back to the CPS member account if any said charges are applied.

Insurance to cover loss and/or damage to equipment during incoming shipment to Canon Canada is the sole responsibility of all members.

Rental equipment pool:

Rental equipment is available to all members in good standing. Cinema and Platinum members enjoy access to an expanded pool that includes virtually all lenses available. Gold members can access a basic pool of frequently needed items. Lists of available rental items are available on the member webpage. Shipping is complimentary. Credit card pre-approval of rental charges and/or damage deposit may be requested by Canon at any time.

Test drives:

Test drives or tryouts are available to Cinema and Platinum members only on a first come-first served basis. Members are limited to two tryouts per product. Test drives are available for 3 day periods. Shipping is complimentary. Credit card pre-approval for damage deposit may be requested by Canon at any time.

Restricted service list:

The restricted list covers current professional product that is covered by the CPS service plan. Parts availability is assured for these products in order to reduce service turnaround delays. Products not on this list will not be covered by the CPS service turnaround guidelines nor will they be eligible for flat rate service.

Flat rate repair pricing:

Flat rate repair pricing has been established for all *eligible products to reduce the amount of contact necessary between Canon and its members during the service episode. This ensures the immediate entry into service, of all *eligible products, upon arrival at our factory service in Mississauga. Flat rates posted on the member webpage cover labour and parts necessary to complete repair. Flat rate charges related to the repair of *eligible products received for service will be automatically billed to the member account and members will only be contacted for a detailed estimate approval if their product requires extensive service, such as, but not limited to, moisture or extensive impact damage. Manual estimates can be available upon request but will not be eligible for service turnaround targets.

*Pro Video and Cinema products do not have flat rates. Manual estimates will be expedited. Service turnaround targets are based on estimate approval date.

Accepted forms of payment for CPS service accounts:

Visa, Mastercard and certified cheque.
